What to expect

What's included

This is the wash you book when the car is dirty, not damaged. It takes about an hour and a half, it happens wherever the car already is, and it is done entirely by hand.

Why the method matters more than the soap

Here is something most people never hear: the majority of swirl marks on a daily driver are put there by washing. Not by rocks, not by weather — by a dirty mitt dragging grit across the clear coat, or by the spinning brushes in an automatic bay doing it faster.

That is why this service starts with a foam bath rather than a sponge. The foam lifts and floats the loose grit off the surface before anything touches the paint. Then the wash itself uses two buckets with grit guards: one holds clean soapy water, the other is for rinsing the mitt, and the guard at the bottom traps the dirt that comes off so it stays there instead of coming back up onto the next panel.

It sounds like a small distinction. It is the entire difference between a wash that cleans your paint and a wash that quietly grinds it down.

Wheels, and why they go first

Wheels and tires get scrubbed and dressed, and the gas cap area — which almost every automated wash misses entirely — gets cleaned by hand. Brake dust is not ordinary dirt; it is hot metal particles that bond to the wheel finish, and leaving them to sit is how alloy wheels end up permanently pitted.

Dried on, not rinsed off

The car is blown dry with air before any towel touches it, then finished with a microfiber hand dry. Two reasons. The first is contact: every towel pass is friction, and air has none. The second is local — Colorado water is hard, and at this elevation in dry air, standing droplets evaporate fast and leave the mineral behind as spots that etch into the clear coat if they bake in the sun.

The protection at the end

It finishes with a premium spray wax or paint sealant. That layer is what carries the car through the next few weeks: it gives dirt less to hold onto and takes the UV instead of your clear coat.

What this service does not do, plainly

Run your fingertips over the paint after a wash. If it still feels gritty rather than smooth, that is contamination bonded into the clear coat, and soap does not remove it because it is not sitting on top — it is embedded. No wash at any price fixes that. That is what the High-Class Exterior adds, with a clay treatment and a longer-lasting ceramic sealant.

And a wash does not remove defects. If the paint looks dull or you can see swirls in direct sun, cleaning it will not bring the gloss back; that takes machine polishing.

Who this is right for

Someone who keeps the car in reasonable shape and wants it maintained properly, on a schedule, without losing an afternoon to it. Book it, leave the keys, and it happens in your driveway or your office lot while you get on with the day.
